Quick request for today: Korean on Yonge -- NOT grill your own
Hi hounds -- I have a quick request for lunch today. I'm looking for a decent Korean spot along the Yonge/north of Sheppard corridor that has great "basic" stuff like bulgogi, kalbi, dol sut bi bim bap. The catch is that I do NOT want a grill-your-own spot. Searches turn up recs for the following:
- Sariwon
- Nakwon
- Traditional Korean Restaurant
- Oh Geul Boh Geul
- Owl of Minerva
It looks like Sariwon is a grill-your-own spot, so I think that is out, unless someone can tell me that they will cook the stuff in the kitchen and bring it out. Any thoughts as to my best bet for my fairly limited criteria?

sariwon offers non-bbq dishes such as the ones you stated, the most refined of the places on your list.
Traditional Korean Restaurant has the best soon dobu.
oh geul boh geul has a wide selection, and plentiful banchan.
owl - well you know they're known for gamjatang.
nakwon I haven't been to in ages.....

Perfect, thank you for the info. I'll probably hit Sariwon, since this is for visiting family. I'll save Traditional Korean Restaurant's soon dobu and Oh Geul Boh Geul for myself another day!

Sariwon is okay. I really like Traditional Korean Restaurant's soon dobu as well. Last time I was at Nakwon I didn't enjoy the food.
