Late Night Food in Carrboro/Chapel Hill

My brother, who is vegan, is coming into town this weekend but his plane doesn't arrive until 11 pm tonight. What restaurants serve food that late? Are there any with vegetarian options? Thanks!

You probably won't get this on time, but Buns in Chapel Hill might not be a bad option: they're open until three in the morning and have veggie burgers, which are pretty good. And they heap on the fries if you order a side....

Broad St. Cafe is right next to Watts Grocery and is open until 2 am. The only late night food options there are pizza and fries but they do have a vegan pizza.

I'm no fan of Milltown in Carrboro (also not a likely place to make a vegan happy) but they might serve food late.

Sadly the late night options are limited, even more so in the summer. The only place I can think of with decent vegan options for late night is Cosmic Cantina. I haven't been there for late night in years, but IIRC they are open until at least 2am. It's limited, but they do offer some vegan things. You could take your chances with Time Out, get some vegetables and pretend they aren't seasoned with pork... The fried okra might be veg-friendly.

I'm sure all that rendered chicken fat makes the okra tasty.

Since he is likely flying into RDU, Watts Grocery in Durham might be a good option. I'm not sure about vegan options but their late night menu is tasty.

Off the top of my head, after 11 in CH/Carrboro, you choose from Time Out and....? Finding a place after 9:30 is challenging. I'm be curious to see if anyone has anywhere good that late.

Watts isn't especially vegetarian friendly, let alone vegan, unfortunately.
