any thing interesting in south coast R.I.?

done the search, but many of the posts seem dated. staying near scarborough and wondering if anything new/interesting in the area that dosent break the bank. also a fair cook, local vegtables or seafood available for home consumption? thanks to all.

Maria's in Westerly (Misquamicut Beach area). The food is excellent. It's a planned stop for us any time we are in the area or on the path to Newport.

IMO, If you seek greasy fried food then Narra. is ok but for nice food Newport is hands down and just a 15 min ride plus you can stroll around the shops after.
