Turkish etc. Sheepshead Bay Area
Anyone have any suggestions in the Sheepshead Bay Road or Emmons Avenue areas for Turkish/Uzbek/Russian grilled meat and fish places. I know and like Bay Shish. I'm just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions?

In the Sheepshead Bay area, there are numerous excellent Turkish, Meditteranean, Russian, Ukrainian and Italian restaurants to choose from. We're not limited to restaurant & food reviews, at Sheepshead Bites (.com), but we do try to do reviews as often as possible.
In the meantime, we can recommend the following Turkish, Greek, & Armenian restaurants:
Emmons Avenue: Liman, Halikarnas, Istanbul;
Sheepshead Bay Rd: Anatolyian Gyro, Chert Poberi Cafe; Armenian Garden Cafe;
Coney Island Ave: Sahara, Island Grill
Avenue U: Lalezar Turkish
Yiassou on Emmons Ave is more Greek, but it rivals the higher-priced grilled fish places in Manhattan.
In fact, from Coney Island to Knapp Street and Avenue U to Emmons Avenue, there are many great choices--too many to list here.
Keep in tune to our site for the latest.

LOVE Sahara! It's worth the trip.
Anatolyian Gyro on Sheepshead Bay Road (mentioned above) is good too.
