Which of the Indian restaurants is known for its kebabs and naan? I'm hoping for a simple tandoor meal of killer (lamb & beef) kebabs, fluffy naans and cold beer to wash it all down. A good rasmalai or faluda at the end would be bonus. Is Maharani BYOB? I don't care about the price, but at the same time I really don't want to have another over-priced, mediocre Indian meal in the islands (on Maui currently).

TIA for your kind replies,

Mostly I would suggest that if you don't want over-priced, mediocre Indian food, then wait till you get back to the East Coast. Hawaii just doesn't have great Indian food. Some of it isn't bad, but from what anyone who knows Indian food tells me, none of it is actually good. Most recently I have been to Himalayan Kitchen, and one of the people in our group said it was the best around. It is BYOB, their webpage appears to be under construction. I don't remember if they had kebobs, but they do advertise tandoori cuisine.
