Is Barolo any good?

Sure the garden is pretty, but I've been hearing good things about the food lately, albeit by somewhat-less-than-reliable sources.
Can anyone here testify to the food quality?

I went there once, for a bridal shower, about 5 years ago. There's nothing at all wrong with the food - it's not a-maaaa-zing, but it's quite good. Picture the fancy Italian restaurant in a smallish town, the place people go on Mother's Day or before prom. That's what it's like.

Yeah but that's 5 years ago.
I've been hearing some buzz lately.

The buzz might be about Revel, maybe.

Barolo is the same but still gets busy. I tre merli in the w. village has better food than the one on w. bway once a major hotspot and yes the same owner,,

Why would I confuse these two restaurants?

You wouldn't. But Barolo, Revel & I Tre Merli are connected, according to Cheese Boy's link. Anyway, looks like you have to go & make your own assessment.
