Fried Clams

Am I barking up the wrong tree--should I buy a ticket to Boston?

Is there somewhere I can get decent fried clams in Chicago?

The north side is preferable.

Thanks!

Lawrence's Fisheries has decent clam strips to satisfy the craving. It's not quite the real thing, but it's across a boat yard. How's that for ambience.

Otherwise, try The Fish Guy and see if he will make some for you. They are selling fried shrimp on Fridays.

The Half Shell on Diversey has a plate called the Thirty-two pointer. It is a plate of delicious fried seafood, including fried clams. I believe you can also just order the fried clams. Now I'm craving some!!
