Need a GREAT restaurant for a Business Dinner in St. Louis...

  • 3

I am hosting a business dinner for 8 people in St. Louis. It is a fun group. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency on the Riverfront.

I am looking for a place with great food, atmospher and wine list. I will consider all types of food but would love some posts here that show off options.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Carmine's Steak House is a short walk down 4th Street from your hotel; an upscale place in the Drury Plaza.
410 Olive is a short walk up 4th Street from your hotel; a nice place in the lobby of a 19th Century bank - this is not an upscale place, but your group will probably appreciate the setting.

J Bucks has a sports atmosphere and is in an old warehouse; a stroll from your hotel.

I would also consider Anthony's Bar on Broadway, which is an offshoot of the fanciest restaurant in town (Tony's), but I would check out the table layout - the last time I was there, the place seemed set up for solo dining at the bar with lots of tables for 2.

Beware J Bucks has gone through some ownership shake ups and is not the same as it used to be.

    2. Tony's is the classic, high end, downtown restaurant. Extremely attentive service, what used to be referred to as "continental" cuisine, extensive and expensive wine list. You'll spend a lot of money here but you'll get a first-rate meal.
