Birthday Lunch in DT Seattle

I get treated for my birthday today by a friend who works DT, and I get to choose. I don't eat downtown all that often, so am looking for recommendations. I'm always happy with Salumi, but he works close to the Market, so I thought it would be nice to go there. I don't often eat in teh Market very often aside from snacking/grazing. I like Cafe Presse so would be interested in Le Pichet, perhaps. Have never been to Matt's, and it looks like Steelhead Diner and 94 Stewart may be good choices.

Now I'm off to Columbia City Bakery for birthday breakfast; hopefully I'll get some great help in the next 2 hours! Thanks!

You should really like Steelhead Diner. Check out the menu and enjoy!

My recs near the market would be Le Pichet, Matt's or Place Pigalle. Steelhead is just okay, IMO and I've had more bad meals than good ones at 94 Stewart.

Le Pichet is my fave, but Matt's for lunch is also great. Steelhead is ok, but not worth choosin over the previous 2. special IMO. Ditto on 94.
