LIC, Woodside, Sunnyside birthday dinner

My fiance and I are taking my Dad out for his birthday tomorrow night. Looking to stay closer to home, so Sunnsyside/Woodside/LIC. Dad and I are into great food and service and fiance likes a quieter atmosphere. I have a fantastic bottle so a moderate corkage fee? Say up to $50 per person? Italian, Thai, French, Latin would be great.

Any ideas?

        I thought of Sapori also, but Thursday is opera night, so I don't know how quiet it would be. Tournesol, French, 50-12 Vernon Blvd LIC NY 11101 (718) 472 4355 is quieter, but not quiet.
