best tourist slice

Have friends coming to visit soon with 16 year old daughter. just wondering what people felt is best ny (counter top , small table or stand etc) pizza slice joint . This may well be different from interpretation of the actual best pizza as we are not looking for table service or full pies etc. Also not looking into other boros (difara) and prefer downtown/village area but not a must.

My vote is for Bleecker Street Pizza. While they are known for their Nonna Maria (fresh mozzarella), I prefer their regular slice over Joe's.

My vote goes to Joe's. Nice thin crust, but still a NY slice. If it's good enough for Spiderman....

I agree completely with Joe's. It's what New York pizza should be like. I think Pomodoro on Spring is pretty good, too. Not better than Joe's, but still good....

Try Joe's on Carmine street. The best slice of Pizza in NYC.

Ben's on Spring Street is worth a visit if you're in SoHo.

Vinny Vincenz if you're near 14th St or the EV.

Muzzarella Pizza if by Avenue A.

Patsy's Pizza (by the slice) if you're in East Harlem by 116th St.

I like Ray's pizza. I also use to like Joes. The first Ray's on prince.
