Intestines for Argentinean BBQ
My Argentinean friend is hoping Chowhounders can suggest butcher shop(s) to buy intestines for BBQing. (Also, restaurants with Argentinean-style intestines on the menu.)Thanks.

la14 on the Sexta if you're here in Cali ... although somehow I doubt it.

Sorry, that was geocentric of me (1st posted in Manhattan, so some excuse.). In New York City, preferably Manhattan north of Chinatown.

That's funny. I now see that I could have figured out where you are by checking your recent posts - almost all on the Manhattan board. So the other piece of info you might add is type of intestines. At Christmas one of the street vendors along the Rio Cali where all the lights and displays are, served fried chicken intestines! Really good.

He didn't specify type - I imagine beef or pork. But he does want to purchase in Manhattan!

No apology necessary. What's My Craving is a New York metro area board, as this sticky explains: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/460128
In addition, though, there should probably be some more prominent explanation on the page.

You might need to go to Chinatown to purchase intestines. I don't think I've seen chinchulines on any menus in NYC.
