Chowhound-worthy restaurants in Seattle and Portland accepting Restaurant.com certificates?

  • 2

Hello--
I'm planning a vacation in Seattle and Portland (3 days in each city) in mid-August. Being intimately familiar with the Boston/Cambridge, MA restaurant scene (and chowhound board!), I've had some good luck getting great deals at a handful of "known commodity" places that accept Restaurant.com certificates.

Restaurant.com isn't known for having the most chowish places among its restaurant subscribers, but can anyone recommend worthy places in Seattle and Portland proper that are on their list?

It's a great way to save a bit on food and also put tourist dollars toward other activities.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Here are my PDX recs that are on restaurant.com: Kenny & Zuke's, Francis, Le Pigeon, Plainfield's, Thanh Thao.
    That's pretty much it!

    1. I just bought some restaurant.com certificates for the first time, but haven't gotten a chance to use them yet.

For SEA, the places I noticed were:
Rovers - but it's a small certificate that won't get you far and may only work if you order ala carte, which is kind of a waste there.
Brasa - really good, but not mentioned very often here
Kabul - Afghan food - I've been once before and it was good
Ama Ama - been once for drinks and apps, which were good
Eylesian Fields - not my favorite, but if you're going anyway for the beer or before a game...might as well save some cash
Pasta Freska - but it's a $10 certificate (I haven't been, but it's on my list to go).
