I think this place deserves its own post. Kanza opened 1-2 months ago, about 5min from Kanda station.

The pork is quite soft, cooked in a salamander along the back wall. The chashu-men usually comes with 4 extremely hefty chunks and the noodles are the thick cut variety, but not housemade.

I recommend this to lovers of fatty, porky ramen. I really really like it.

Hey, I finally made it there. And it only took 2 months! You were right, the pork was great.

Let me know if you want to meet up for lunch. I always need new places - still haven't had lunch in the same place twice this year.

Not in the same place twice? That's quite a feat!

I'm glad you liked it. Let's plan something soon, maybe with Yabai-san.

This latest branch of Menya Musashi is like most of the others - generally well-rated. Generally the kakuni buta is the way to go at any Musashi branch that offers it, not clear whether that's what you had or not. Frequently they go heavy on the garlic in the soup too.

@kamiosaki I defer to your experience since I don't know ramen chains at all. The pork I had was definitely heavily grilled to finish it off, so their kakuni might be a different experience altogether. I don't know how I feel about chains these days, but it seems to be different with ramen, and they only have 8 shops so...

@squirrel, I'm always up for lunch as long as it's someplace new...no, I could make an exception. My gmail address is eoitwj@...
