Tapas in northern/Central NJ

I want to take my husband out for Tapas but haven't heard of any good ones around here. Does anyone know of a recommendation?

You may want to try LOLA Latin Bistro in Metuchen NJ.

I've heard good reports about Mompou in the Ironbound... www.mompoutapas.com

I was going to say Mampou as well. Overall the food was very good. Minor quibble was swiss chard in the tortilla (not sure if they still do that). I actually thought it tasted pretty good, but it's not traditional and anyone expecting one exactly like Spain might be disappointed.

Yeah, I don't think Mompou is actually run by Spanish - I have a hunch they are Portuguese. It can also get loud and nightclubby later on in the night.

Northern/Central NJ is a pretty big area. Depending on where you live you might want to post your question on the Mid-Atlantic board as well.

If you mean tapas as it pertains to Spanish cuisine, I can't help you. If, however, you simply mean 'small plates' then I have two suggestions. Both are very good (IMHO!) and are located in central NJ. They are Tapastre in Somerville and Daryl Wine Bar in New Brunswick. Both have been discussed on the Mid-Atlantic board so you might want to do a search there.
