Meeting a friend for lunch next week...she's in Northridge, I'm in Encino, and we can go anywhere on either end or in between. Any ideas about where we can sit and talk, enjoy good food and in a non-dive-y atmosphere?

Pho So 1 (on Reseda near...Sherman?)

I wouldn't call either one a dive, but they're not exactly white tablecloth either. But the food is good.

Thanks so much, everyone! We wound up having a fantastic sushi lunch at Katsu-ya, in Encino. The yellowtail sashimi with sliced jalapeno peppers was absolutely first rate, as was the creamy rock shrimp. Highly recommended!
