Fort Lauderdale Sushi

I need some suggestions for good sushi (or sushi + Thai) restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, preferably near I-95 or east of the highway. I'm looking for outstanding fresh fish and some unusual creations.

BTW, I took general Chowhound advice and ate at Bluefin in Boca this week. It was excellent, especially the scallop.

Arigato!

I second Sushi Rock. Love it and sushi is delicious and fresh always. Heart Rock Sushi is also good. It's on Sunrise and Federal, just W of the Galleria Mall.

To go a bit further west, I've heard great things about Marumi Sushi in Plantation. I live in Plantation and would never suspect from the outside that it's as good as folks say. It's in a little unassuming strip mall but i'm looking forward to trying it soon. My littlies don't do sushi, so it may take me a while to get there. Anyway, it's on Sunrise, just W of University in a Publix plaza.

The freshest sushi I have had is at Sozo Sushi in Wilton Manors. It's a very small place, with literally 2 tables and about 8 barstools. But the sushi is amazing!! http://www.sozosushibar.com/
