Mystic, CT recommendations

my wife and I are celebrating our two year wedding anniversary and planning an overnight trip to Mystic, CT. We are staying at the Marriott in Groton, CT. I've was told Zach's in Stonington, Ct was a nice place. Any recomendations or feedback?

Try Kitchen Little for breakfast, just get there early. Try to sit outside if you can. Paul's Pasta in New london is wonderful, and I am a sucker for Abbott's (or Costello's if the line is too long) The Sea Swirl is great for a quick bite, and ice cream

Flood Tide Restaurant at the Inn at Mystic is a classic throwback special occasion place. I love the tableside Caesar salad preparation with anchovies and raw egg.

A great area for a grand occasion. In Stonington, Skipper's Dock is good, comfortable and on the water. Noah's is over rated to my way of thinking. In Mystic on US 1 heading east, don't pass Sea Swirl up without a glance at least (casual to say the least, good clams, chowder etc). In Westerly (Misquamicut) check our Maria's - good Italian, good service and if the weather cooperates perhaps an outside table. In any case, enjoy.

I like Olio in Groton, Shelter Harbor Inn in Charlestown, RI, and 84 High Street in Westerly. Zach's is pretty casual - food good not great. Water Street Cafe, just down the road, is another good one. Stay away from Octagon in the Marriott. Overrated, overpriced. Congratulations.
