Nice outdoor seating - Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood

I'm looking for somewhere for a special-occasion family dinner or lunch that has a nice outdoor atmosphere. There will be a minimum of 6 in the group, possibly as many as 12.

We enjoy California cuisine but are open to other kinds of food - love Mediterranean, like Italian, Chinese. Not so much on Mexican. Mom doesn't eat seafood, so she needs some other menu choices. Price not a problem.

In Hollywood, there's Hungry Cat (seafood, but a great pug burger for mom) and Cafe des Artistes (French). Both have very nice outdoor seating.

Give a try to the Ocean View Bar & Grill -- corner of Ocean View Bl and Florencia Av in Montrose. http://www.ovbistro.com/ Not a picturesque al fresco experience, yet quiet and good food.

If Pasadena isn't too far out of your way, Santorini in Old Town Pasadena has a nice al fresco setting and decent Greek food. Although I must admit it can be a bit hit and miss.

It is hit and miss... when it's good it's very good, and when it's bad it's maddening. Try to avoid popular times though, because you could go crazy trying to hear yourself think when it's busy.
