I am a huge fan of Russ and Daughters and can't sing enough praise about them after being introduced by Chow. So thank you all again for turning me on to such an amazing place. However; I have not yet been to B.G. or ordered from them as yet and here is my dilemma. I want to get somethings for my dad for Fathers Day and thought it would be neat if I included some borsht and chz blintzes with my order. ..things from his past. (I remember him always having borsht on a hot summer day when I was a kid)

Russ and Daughters has everything else I would want to order but not the borsht. Surprisingly, things seem to be a few dollars cheaper here as well. I have bought him things at R.D. before(not that he remembers-hes 92) but have not had their blintzes. Is the borsht that good to make the switch to B.G.? Anyone have the blintzes at either place and finally how are the bake goods at B.G.??? Hes a big chocolate lover even though he has diabetes....at 92 who's watching..right? I just finished a cinammon babka that I had from R.D. but thinking about going with the chocolate cigars and chocolate babka at B.G for my dad) Thanks alot everyone.
