Has anyone tried Sea Breeze Seafood Bar in Brentwood?

HOWCHES Jun 17, 2009 12:04 PM

I got a coupon and tried it a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. I had Ahi Tuna as an entree for $10.50 and it was a decent sized, fresh and tender steak cooked rare on a grill. It came with a very good crisp salad and decent risotto on a plastic plate. Owner was friendly. Feels like they really understand simple seafood like a place on the East Coast- light years better than Real Inn or similar. It's on San Vicente near Barrington. Seating is outside and not fancy. I thought this place is a find. Whole menu is cheap. Anybody else tried it?

I've been to Sea Breeze Seafood Bar a few times, and am amazed by the place. The fish is cooked to perfection, and the sauces rival those of regular seafood restaurants. It's takeout, so it's quick/easy (but tough to fit large groups), and although a bit more pricey that regular takeout, I have really enjoyed their food. I highly recommend it, and am actually heading there right now!

I was becoming addidcted to their Beer Battered Fried Shrimp, and had to go cold turkey to keep from eating it every day. But, thanks to your post I'm feeling that maybe I should put them back in rotation. There' a citrusy, asian type sauce that the shrimp is served with and it's awesome for only about $7. Very cool!

I was excited to try it and ordered their ceviche of the day which I didn't do it for me. It was very oily and didn't have that much fish as most space in the container was taken by the mango. Bummer! My big mixed seafood cocktail from La Isla Bonita today on the other had was delicious!
