Just wanted to post a positive review of dining at Naisa in Fountain Square, Indianapolis - -- the food was delicious, the service was very thoughtful, the atmosphere was pleasant. My partner and I had the three greens with tofu and the spicy basil curry fried rice. For appetizers, we tried the Vietnamese roll in rice paper and the seafood wanton. While the roll itself was delicious, it could have been improved upon with the addition of a more traditional sauce and perhaps a bit more herb. As it was, the only sauce offered was a small swish of wasabi not nuoc mam. Still it was fresh and well sized. The seafood wanton was a typical crab rangoon style but better executed than you find in 99 percent of other establishments. The owner knows how to deep fry !!! also evidenced by the complimentary basket of wide fried chinese noodles that are served with a fresh Chinese mustard and a house made duck sauce. Those fried noodles really were a throw back to the Chinese restaurants of my youth in the 70's. I feel like I had not seen them since. . . . they were a nostalgic success. I hope the community will seek out this Asian Bistro. I think the owner is making every attempt to bring well seasoned and fresh dishes to the table. I am excited to return and work my way through the menu. I encourage everyone in Indianapolis to support this couple in their independant venture.

PS Naisa also offers delivery to a limited area ( including the IUPUI campus and downtown).

I've been shortly after they opened and had the basil curry fried rice and it was delicious! You could tell fresh ingredients are Naisa's top priority.

Have eaten there once. The tempura shrimp was good. The veggie spring rolls were crispy & tasty but with minuscule filling. The seafood hot & sour soup was a disaster, thick gloop with sea legs + bits of shrimp, the soup base tasted like it came from a can. The chow mein was nondescript, too salty, could definitely use some garlic + more veggies + more "wok hey". Still, I suppose I'll try the place again to see if this meal was an exception. (Why are so many people - on other boards - raving about this place? "Most authentic etc" it is not.) The wide fried noodles and complimentary sauces were frippery, the touted wasabi mayo sauce ($1) bland and slightly repellent.
