Are there any kitchen appliances that are made in this country? I am looking to replace all appliances with new and feel a real need to buy those made in the USA...although I am having a hard time finding ANY that are in my price range. Any suggestions?

mountainmomma, Whirlpool Corporation, which sells under the Whirlpool, Kitchenaid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Master Chef, Admiral, and Roper brands, among others, and makes the appliances sold by Ikea, still has manufacturing facilities in Michigan. However, not all models sold under the Whirlpool brands are made in the U.S.A. You might try sending an email asking your question of the usually unhelpful Whirlpool customer service people through the webpage here: http://whirlpool.com/custserv/email_form.jsp and maybe lightning may strike and you will get an answer back as to which of the models are made in the U.S.A.
