ISO: Restaurant in Valdosta, GA area

I'll be traveling through Valdosta and will be there only for a night and then leaving the next morning. So, I need a restaurant either right outside of town OR in town - a Saturday night. Something fun, or funky, burgers, Italian, a drive-in or BBQ would be preferable.

I checked the AAA book but didn't see anything of interest. Is there anything good around there or just fast food and chain restaurants?

It's mostly chains around Valdosta, but when there on business I always had a good meal at Mom and Dad's, an Italian restaurant up on the north perimeter, 4143 N Valdosta Rd. Forget the name, LOL! It's a pretty decent Italian place.
