Hi all,

I have some visitors - 2 late 20's adults and one 2 year-old child- coming in from the Bay Area. My wife and I have a 3 month old with us too. I have a general idea of what we want to do and where to eat but some help on the following items would be great:
1. Is the lunch at Bakery Nouveau good? I know the pastries are excellent but I am curious about the lunch offerings.
2. Is dinner at King Fish Cafe casual enough to bring the baby and 2 year-old?
3. If I am going to Paseo on a Friday what time do I have to be there by to ensure that there is bread? Also, is the location near Golden Gardens just as good?
4. Has anyone been to the Washington Brewers Festival at St Edwards Park? Is it worth going?
5. Is Via Tribunali as kid friendly as Tutta Bella? If it is not, is the taste quality so different that I should still consider Via Tribunali?
6. We've taken our baby for Korean food at Ka Won a few times. Is there a better place as far as kid friendly and food quality is concerned?

I think thats all the questions I have. Thank you so much.

1. The quiche is excellent, and the sandwiches are good but it's just ham/cheese/cornichon or tomato/mozzerella/basil etc on baguettes. The pizza is okay.
3. I didn't know Paseo ran out of bread! We call in then pick up at 6:30 or 7 and haven't run into the bread issue. If you don't call ahead you could easily wait 1/2 hour in line then 1/2 hour for your sandwiches, in Fremont. I've heard good things about the GG location but haven't been.
5. I've only been to the Capitol Hill and Belltown (in the Croc) locations of Via Tribunali, but no, it's not at all kid friendly the way TB is. The times I've been to TB it's all families and kids soccer teams. I don't think I've seen a kid at VT--maybe one. The Capitol Hill location has some tables that are very tightly squeezed together, which would be bad with kids; the booths might be okay but in general it's kind of a 20/30something hipster place. (I don't mean that in a bad way--I love VT).

2. Not a fan of King Fish - food's not great. That said, it's a pretty casual atmosphere, but it gets really crowded and loud, so it might not be really fun for young children. You might call them to ask - their bar is in the middle of the dining room and people sort of hover there next to the tables. I am not sure if kids are allowed (I don't remember ever seeing any, but that's not uncommon in restos here).
3. Paseo in Fremont seems to run out of things earlier than in Ballard, so I usually go to the Ballard location and they are just as good, imo, as Fremont. Plus, since there's not really anywhere great to sit at either place, if I wasn't taking the food home, I'd rather go eat at Golden Gardens AND there's a parking lot at the Ballard location. Fremont is often out of a lot of things by dinner time, but I never go for lunch so I don't know exactly when they run out. You can try to call ahead to check.
4. I've been. It's fun. They have a ton of breweries and a rootbeer area, plus a kids area. Parking can be a hassle as can finding a place to sit as the families call dibs on all the seats and "save" them for their own parties even when not in use.
