Grains of Paradise

Any ideas for how to use this spice?

  1. Generally, I use GofP in place of ground black pepper. I especially enjoy this spice in egg dishes and always on a grilled fish. If you enjoy "blackened" recipes-considering using GofP as your baseline.

I gotta say, definately replace some if not all the peppercorns in your grinder with GoP. Great spice!

    2. I was going to say exactly what HillJ said plus you can google some medeval recipes if you're into that sort of thing (fun to read, maybe less fun to eat) since GofP were used as pepper before pepper was regularly imported.
