salivating for SOFT SHELLCRABS

Anyone know where i can find soft shell crabs on menu - LongIsland south shore restaurant or queens- prefer simple non- asian preparation-

      ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR CRABS TO MAKE ON THE BARBEQUE! - BUT FINDING IT A CHALLENGE - LOCATING THEM - HAVE GONE TO 5 MARKETS IN FLUSHING AND NONE HAVE THEM -- ANY SUGGESTIONS P L E A S E !!1

            Not so. Citarella had them this morning, as do most fish stores. Soft shell crabs are usually in season until at least late August.

          In Manhattan, Gotham Bar and Grill has fantastic fried soft shell crabs on the menu right now. They give you three and they are perfect.

              I will take the time to say that they have really good soft shell crab BLTs at Recipe on the UWS..

              However, nothing really beats going to Fairway in Harlem, spenind 2.99 for a crab, cooking it in butter after coating with flour, and then putting a brioche bun with a simple coleslaw and a shirachi, mayo sauce..
