Campari and soda in North Beach

What's best the bar/restaurant in North Beach in which to order a Campari and soda? I'm looking for a good place for a before dinner drink. I'm also looking for a good dinner spot in that neighborhood as well. Right now, I'm thinking about L'Osteria Del Furno.

        L'Osteria Del Furno is a restaurant, and a very small one at that. I doubt you could order just a drink there. Try Capp's Corner at Powell & Green. It's also a restaurant, but a large one with a bar. Very old-world San Francisco. Seems appropriate for an old-world San Francisco drink like that. (Personally, I prefer Campari and tonic with a squeeze of lemon. It was my summer drink when I lived in North Beach.)

          Vesuvio is a good spot in North Beach for a before or after-dinner drink.
