Panago Pizza - coming to Avenue Road
As I was driving home today, I noticed a sign on a store that Panago Pizza was coming soon!! The store is located on avenue road (on the west side) near old orchard.
I am thrilled that they will be in the neighborhood as I have been a fan for 3 years now!!
Will keep everyone posted.

re: PizzaLuver
Picked up from this location a couple of weeks ago. Lots of really good things....great concept.....really nice staff.....cool oven.....spotless (it is only 2 weeks old).......really intersting pizza choices and dips.....they give you a thermal bag to keep your pie warm....Only I negative...the pizzas sucked-I mean really sucked. Lousy flavor...very acidic sauce...toppings are under the cheese so every bite causes a large exodus of toppings.....crust was like cardboard....wanted so much to love this place. Reminded me a lot of bad Pizza Hut pizza.

re: magic
Brave soul that I am, I ventured there today. Halloween night. Dinner rush. Second day open for business. I must've been desperate. They were surprisingly on top of things tho. Although they were absolutely slammed and obviously trying to cope with all the usual kinks of a grand opening they were pretty good! They were smart. They had at least a dozen staff on hand. Can't tell you how many pizza places I've been to on Halloween that didn't have the common sense to have half of the staff that this new Panago had working tonight. When they knew they would need it. So good for them! I must say, there were a few kinks (got some toppings wrong a friend's pizza, and a couple other mistakes as well). But I knew this going in, and I certainly would not hold it against them considering the circumstances. All in all, well done for them, right.
The ‘cheesy meatball’ pizza was absolutely delish. Damn tasty meatballs. The BBQ chicken pizza was nice, but no better/no worse than most chain BBQ chicken pies. Fairly typical, somewhat forgettable. Would def return for the meatball pizza tho. And again, snaps to them on sending me on my way in 20 mins on one of the busiest night of the year, and on their opening weekend no less.

re: magic
I had Panago today too at this location. Halloweened it up. The meatballs where very good. No tomato sauce just the meatballs and gooey cheese. Terrific. This is not only the best chain pizza I've had but the best pizza in Toronto I've had. Fresh toppings, tons of cheese with a great sauce.

I made a special trip up to the one at Dufferin and Steeles. I wouldn't say that it's a wasted trip but not one I'd do again.
The pizza it's self is good. Nothing great but a good solid pizza. You walk across the street to Panago instead of going to Pizza Pizza. The lunch special of a personal pizza and drink for $6 is a pretty good deal. I can eat more than that much pizza but it's fine.
So all in all, of the chains in the city, it's one of the better ones but it's not in the elite class.

Saw this too. I've only seen the commercials, but have never tried it. What's it like? What would you compare it to of the pizza places we have in Toronto?

re: Greekfood Koukla
If you seach for Panago on this board you will see other discussions.
However I will give you a quick recap: To begin with the place is spotless. I mean SPOTLESS!!. As for the pizza - I love it - the crust, the cheese, the sauce,- its a far better quality pizza than other chains. But I must admit, Im not eating pizza every week. Probably three times a year and we really dont experiment. Its either Panago or Pizza Pizza when Im desperate.
You should try it. You wont be disappointed.
