Looking for salt packed anchovies...any ideas where I can buy them?

I can't stand oil packed anchovies and don't get me started on those nasty things in the little roll-up tins. Salt packed anchovies are what I prefer to use for Caesar salads, pizzas, pasta puttanesca, etc etc. I used to buy them in Detroit and bring them home on the plane (carefully wrapped so the smell wouldn't get me booted off the aircraft!)

I see I can order them from Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor. Anyone know anyplace close by. I know that Fresh Market and Whole Foods did not have them.

  1. Paesano's in Cape Coral called me this afternoon (emailed from their website) and they have these. I'm happy not to have to drive to Sarasota or Naples for them. Just over the bridge. LMF

      1. possibly laurenzo's italian market in north miami has them ,on west dixie just north of 163rd street.
