artisan sausages?

Hi all:
We are celebrating a birthday in a few weeks with a family-friendly barbeque for about 20.
I need to keep the prep on the simple side so, am hoping to find a source for some interesting sausages. If not necessarily unique at least of great quality and flavor.
Any ideas for me?
We're in the NW suburbs, but will travel for good food.
Thanks in advance.

Paulina Market in Lakeview has terrific sausages. They usually run about 12 different house-made versions. They also have hundreds of linear feet of other meats, smoked and fresh, and fowl to round out your grillin' experience.

I'd heard that was a good spot - and honestly I've never been. I will look forward to checking it out.

Whole Foods is another option to check-out: many sausages and good/excellent quality.

I like Gepperth's Meat Market on Halstead near Armitage.

Not sure about NW burbs, but Columbus Meat Market on Randolph west of the Loop makes a number of sausages for Hot Doug's. You might want to find out if they offer any such specialty sausages for consumers.

I love the sausages from Paulina; been eating 'em for years. But, if you'd rather drive out in the cornfields rather than into the city, check out Ream's www.lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=1...
