Casual Eats Near Harborplace

I am coming in from Lorton and will be staying at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore for a couple of days (Tues/Wed). I am looking for good casual eat in/take out places to eat for lunch and dinner. I will be working about three blocks from the Hotel on West Pratt Street. No chains please!

Any suggestions for good eats within walking distance would be great. Thanks!

  1. Almost everything within the Inner Harbor area (bordering the water) are chains. One exception is Edo Sushi, which has a couple of locations in the B'more area. A decent lunch place just two blocks north of Pratt is Rosina Gourmet (

But venture 1/2 to 1 mile away from the Inner Harbor, into the Harbor East, Fells Point, and Federal Hill neighborhoods, and there are ample non-chain cheap eats. Two good places on Light Street, about 6 blocks south of the Iner Harbor, are Thai Arroy and Elvis (which is Mexican).

    Happy eating!

If you're working on West Pratt, one more lunch place that you should check out is Lexington Market. Search this board for a recent lively discussion of its merits.

    2. I've never myself been to Attman's Deli, but it is highly recommended. The concierge at your hotel can give you specifics. FoiGras
