New Thai Restaurant in Brevard, NC

A new Thai restaurant just opened in downtown Brevard at 315 N. Caldwell Street. Tis called 'Pad Thai' and they are open Mon-Thur 1100-2000, Fri 1100-2100, and Sat 1130-2100. It's rather small with 7 tables in a rear screened-in area and 3 more small tables inside. The staff are five Thais, and with two Westerners helping out with packing, etc. No liquor license yet and you CANNOT BYOB.

We ate there a couple of nights ago and were quite pleased with the three dishes we ordered. Portion size of two of them was a tad small but the pricing was equally small. The third dish, pad Thai, was quite large and with many large shrimp.

This place is definitely worth returning to, and right now they are doing a very lively business with both eat-in and carry-out.

  1. Oooo, very interesting. I'm too lazy to google. Did it take over an old restaurant location I might be familiar with?? Also have some friends who are in Brevard a lot and love Thai, so will send them there. Thanks for the tip!

It is in a stand-alone building but I'm not sure what the building was before it became Pad Thai. And I've not seen anything about it on any web sites. My wife and I just stumbled across it a couple of weeks ago when we were on our way to the Music Center.

It is where the Dog House was and before that it was The Barefoot Cafe. On the corner of Caldwell and Whitmire St. across from First United Methodist Church and Sonic.
I think I will go there for lunch today.
