We're coming from Toronto to NYC in the first week of August.

Will try Degustation for sure -- but, cannot find a website or any information about reservations -- do we need reservations? how far out are they made? Telephone resos only? Is there a website that I'm missing?

Thanks, in advance.

Reservations are advised as the place only seats about 15. They also accept walk-ins. I had no trouble getting in a few weeks ago on a short-notice reservation.

They don't have a web site (annoying, isn't it?). There is an old menu on menupages.com. The menu changes daily so that's why that one is out of date.

Call to make reservations. I'd call 2-3 weeks on advance. It's not super difficult but I would not try to walk in on a Friday/Saturday without a reservation.

I believe you can call 1 month in advance; if you really want to go,might as well do that tomake sure you get the exact time you want, and enjoy, a truly killer meal.

That was true years ago but Degustation is not as busy as they once were. I've gotten in with 6-7 days notice and have seen walk-ins be seated.

I walked in recently around 8 pm on a weeknight. No problem. Under the radar screen and I kinda like it that way (no website, no www.opentable.com reservations). Other times when we needed a specific time we called and made reservations.
