Berlin- Seeking recs near the Hyatt
We prefer to walk to local restaurants near our hotel after a full day of sightseeing. Would anyone have suggestions for us? We like all ethnic foods, especially enjoy fish and shellfish, and would like to eat for under $50 per person, if possible.

Well, there's not a lot of ethnic eateries in walking distance from your hotel, which is smack-dab in the middle of "nowhere" -- Potsdamer Platz. Most places you will find in walking distance cater to tourists, and you'll pay good money for bad food.
However, there's MAOA on Leipziger Platz which is definitely in walking distance, offering Asian fusion and Mongolian-type buffets.
If you like fish and seafood, there's a place for that on Alte Potsdamer. I haven't been there myself, but it looks decent enough from the outside.
There's a Chinese place on the corner of Wilhelmstr. and Behrenstr. called Peking Ente where you can get Peking duck without having to order in advance. While this might be a bit of a hike, It gets good reviews.
Lastly, don't shy away from using public transportation. You're well connected to many neighborhoods in Berlin where dining options abound.

As far as I know, all subway stops have at least escalators, and many have elevators.
There are also a lot of buses that can be lowered down to accommodate people with walking issues, and they generally alternate with the 'regular' buses.
I think you will have a great time here in Berlin & no problem to get around.
