New Restaurant Via 45 Red Bank NJ

Saw them working on this a few weeks back. Anyone know if it has opened yet? Let us know if you give it a try.

      Just went the other night.

      Menu is small but the choices were all good. I wish I could say I remembered more but I was under the weather and took some medicine so I was out of it. The rest of my party are still saying we should go back soon so I am looking forward to dining there in the near future.

        I was in town this morning for the George Sheehan Classic and passed by Via 45 to take a look at the menu. As seal reported, it is a small hand printed menu consisting of 3 or 4 choices per category: "begin", "primi", "via veneto", "via (seafood?)", and "dessert". This was the same type of menu Chef Herring used/produced at Vivere in Spring Lake. I ate there once a year or so back and was not impressed and doubt I will try Via 45. That being said, I wish them the best of luck with the restaurant.

          how were the prices? i looked at their website but saw no prices, just wondering if they were prices like pier village in long branch, which in my opinion, are quite high.

              actually i saw a link on the breeze radio station for the menu, not really their website...

                  It's obviously a German place! And I never knew that Madeira wine was a rustic Italian ingredient!
                  Seriously, I think most of us could have guessed at 85 percent of that predictable menu. I'm in no rush.

        2. So, just what we all are dying to have: an Italian restaurant. Sheesh!

          1. We had dinner at Via 45 last night and it was fabulous! There were 6 of us and 5 of us ordered different dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The scallops in a demi-glace were (according to my husband) "the best meal he's ever eaten." Also, the chef accomodated one member of our group who had all sorts of dietary issues. Desserts were wonderful. My brother had a ricotta tart with lemon cream that he said was outstanding. The other desserts were comparable. We just loved it and will go back again and again. Although it is "another" Italian restaurant -- it is northern Italian and not your standard Jersey Shore pasta and cannoli place. We eat out a lot -- it's one of the best we've tried in the last year.

              Are they open for lunch? Sounds good, and I liked the Chef when she was at Tavolo in Old Bridge.

                According to the Google profile they do lunch wed-sat 11:30 - 2:30
