Had lunch at the El Charrito Taco Truck for 1st time today...
and it was damn good.
The chorizo tacos were slammin'! I really liked the beef tacos too. I do have to save the carnitas were a miss for me, bland and not really all that, but overall everything else was fab. I was really digging those scallion bulbs too. Oh and of course the woman (don't know her name) was super, super nice.
I'm stoked to be moving to Stamford in a couple of weeks! :D

it must be something in the air because I made my first trip to El Charrito this week as well. It was on Tuesday - I had a carnitas taco and two of the day's specials: a cow feet tostada and a pig belly taco.
Really loved the food overall, though I wasn't too into the pig belly meat. The other two items were delicious.
Friday I went back for a torta and I'll probably try the Huarache next week. This place is going to be dangerous for me!

I couldn't get over there today, which was a bummer because I saw on their facebook/twitter status that they had chorizo empanadas as a special today. That would have been good, I bet.
Next time be sure to try the huarache too. Those are probably my favorites there.

I tried it for the first time this week as well, and I can't wait to go back. I went traditional and tried 3 tacos - beef, chicken and pork. I loved the beef and chicken, but didn't care for the pork - too, too fatty for my liking. I have a feeling this might become a new routine lunch spot. And yes, the woman taking my order was super nice.
