Grapefruit curd?

Does anyone have a good recipe for grapefruit curd? I'm finding wildly varying amounts of eggs to use in recipes found online. I don't remember using 12 yolks when i made lemon curd; i can't see needing that many for a grapefruit curd.

I plan using the curd to cover a basic pie crust, then strawberry sauce, and then homemade whipped cream.

    1. If you have a recipe you like for lemon curd, I'd use the same one for grapefruit curd -- maybe a little less sugar depending on how sweet your grapefruit is.

I've been trying to think of the baking book published in Canada a few years ago. It had a grapefruit curd recipe. If I think if it I'll post, in case it helps.

In the meantime, Ruth's advice makes total sense to me.
