Went to my favourite lunch spot-the Lucky Dragon on Spadina today & found the place closed & the windows all papered up. Does anyone know what happened or what's happening?
What's so good about it? I've been twice and dsiappointed both times. The dishes may be authentic but not tasty. Many others are better - Taste of China, Xam Yu, not to mention E Pan and New Sky.
It will be missed. It wasn't the best but when value, service, authenticity and taste are taken into account, it did the job. $10 all you could eat hot pot!
I had the same experience about a month and a half ago. I haven't been down Spadina in a while. Is there any update? Are they renovating? Or is Lucky Dragon no more? What a sad day for downtown Toronto.
It's gone. New name/ownership. I went for lunch a couple of weeks ago & had the lamest kung pao chicken ever in my life. Good hot & sour soup though not good enough to redeem the experience. So long Lucky Dragon.
