Would this bomb? Chix & Dumplings
I bought a package (I think 20oz) of Dietz & Watson chicken breast at Coscto. The first time I bought it, I was loving the flavor, and just ate it straight out of the carton for about a week or so. This time, I don't know why, it doesn't taste as good. Much more similar to just your run of the mill deli chicken breast after its been sitting in the fridge for a few days.
I was thinking of making faux chix & dumplings. Browning up the rest of the deli meat (it's a week old - is that a separate problem?), tossing in some broth and veg, and making some quick flour dumplings for the top. I've always made it before with raw chicken that I poached, or rotisserie chicken leftovers. Would doing it w/deli meat totally suck?
