The Porch in Dallas

Had a great lunch at the Porch in Dallas on Knox. This was my first time and I was with a few friends and we all really liked it. I can't wait to go back for dinner.

We love Fish and chips . Thanks for the tip. We will have to try it on Sunday night. Not much of a scene person anymore,my sex and in the city days are long gone with 4 kids.

Funny you said that about Sex in the City. My wife and I went to the Porch the night the Sex and the City movie premiered down the street at the Angelika. Wow, what a scene. Covies of 6-8 women all dressed to the nines get looped on Cosmos prior to the show. I don't like scenes, but that one was indeed fun.

I really like Porch for lunch, but I wouldn't bother with it for dinner. It becomes quite a scene in the evenings and I think the place loses its focus on the food.

Try a Sunday night dinner. All families and no scene - kids, couples, grandparents.

At first I was not a fan but have since become one. I like their Three cheese Grilled Cheese sandwich with parmesan tomato soup - great lunch! They also have an interesting drink menu.

Love their Cobb Salad and the "House Margaritas" (blood orange juice).
