Dogfish Head IPA sighting

grandgourmand Jun 12, 2009 10:10 AM

If you like the stuff, the Front St. LCBO right next to SLM has a few 6-packs. I picked one up.

Promises from the LCBO of better supplies this season. Exactly what they said last year...See it, buy it.

I'm looking at the LCBO inventory - Summerhill has 50 cases, Queen's Quay has 40 cases - I've never run out before, is there something I don't know? Should I be stocking up?!?

I guess not. I just recalled comments of lack of inventory, thought I'd pass it along.

It's not my favourite...I like a hoppy beer, but this one is a bit much.

They also had Anchor Steam, for $11.50 per 6-pack, which is a steal. For whatever reason, I always see it with a bottle or two missing. I don't go to the big LCBOs too often.

OK, thanks GG. It's good to know I won't have to settle for Tankhouse all summer.

PSP, Beer Bistro carries a lot of brews from Dogfish, as you may already know. They have super-high alcohol levels, though, and some are quite bitter. The "Indian Brown Ale" is nice.

No real shortage here in Ottawa, but unfortunately the Southern Tier IPA has gone missing. I miss that one. DH60min is good too however. Hope they continue to bring in more American micros.

According to a post made by the importer over on Bar Towel recently, ST IPA should be back in stock in the next couple of weeks.

I actually thought you meant a real dogfish head. And I thought, well, I'm not sure I like that very much...

              I never get the acronyms.
