Sushi Rec - DC/Arl. near metro
Where's the best place for sushi near a metro in the DC/Arlington area? Need a rec. for tomorrow (Fri.) night. They'll be 6 of us so preferably sompelace that takes reservations, and with decent ambiance and service.
Over the years I've read about lots of sushi recs downtown, but can't remember them, and the search function isn't working for me tonight. Ugh.
So thanks for your last minute help!

re: Meg
I like Kaz Sushi a lot--downtown--and Sushi Taro in Dupont on 17th street.
Another great place (but much more pricey and much more of a "scene") is SEI on 7th street in Penn Quarter. It's from the same owners of Oya (who also has good sushi, come to think of it) and is a very sleek and sexy place. Drinks are amazing but very expensive. The wasabi guacamole is outstanding.
Good luck!-

Have had bad experience with table service at Kaz- very very slow aka forgotten and the tasting menu was good but by the time the food came we were so hungry we needed more but couldn't wait for it (it took 30 minutes to get a refill of diet coke). I recommend Sushi Taro. Haven't been to SEI but it seems to be popular.
I also always like Cafe Asia with a group of not so serious sushi eaters because they have so much other stuff and it is relatively cheap, but I think Sushi Taro has better sushi.
