Burger Burger in FIDI

Tried burger burger for the first time today down in the financial district. I have worked here for over a yr and half and find that FIDI is a culinary wasteland. There is really nothing special down here for lunch besides your normal delis and such. Nothing destination worthy so I usually just brown bag it. However, yesterday I ventured out and tried burger burger down on stone street. I gotta say this was one great burger! I got a special which was an Asian Kobe beef burger. I added a fried egg, bacon and cheddar cheese to it. It came with some sweet potato fries and a drink of your choice with it also. All of the burgers come with lettuce, tomato, pickle and they cook them to order. I ordered mine as rare as they can make it and they did just that, which a lot of places won't or can't do these days. So for any down in the financial district looking to indugle in a great burger for lunch hit up Burger Burger.

Two caveats- Very long wait if you do not call in. I waited about 20-30 min because of the line and the cooking time. Also the price can start to get very high since they charge you for extra ingredients. My burger came to $18. It was originally 13.99 (because of the kobe), and they with the 3 added toppings and the substitution of sweet potato fries that jacked up my bill also. Still, I was willing to pay for it. 8 oz of bloody goodness and the sweet potato fries were delicious.

  1. steakrules85, thanks for the report. BTW, it's on Pearl: What do you think this means for the Burger Shoppe?

You might want to try Table Tales, Onda and Made Fresh Daily next time you eat out in the culinary wasteland.

It's on Coenties & Stone, and you'd have trouble finding it from Pearl if you didn't know better.

Their burgers are pretty good, but I hate that they make you get fries with it. If they had a burger-only option, I would go way more often. Even if it only reduced the cost by 25 cents--it's a matter of principle for me.

Thanks, Cheese Cheesely. Their website shows 77 Pearl. For people not used to/new to downtown the streets do get confusing South of Fulton. I've been living and working in the "culinary wasteland" for over 10 years.

You can get salad or brown rice instead.

I know. I've gotten the side salad before, but it's a joke. Neither of those options appeals to me. Vendetta continues.
