Fresh tortillas-Cary/Raleigh?
We are visiting family in Cary for a few days and would like to do a little graduation fiesta party for our niece. Anyone know where we might buy some fresh corn & flour tortillas? Seems like I've passed some Mexican grocery stores before, but am not sure if and where we'd find them. Thanks.

look at this article.
it refers to a mexican restaurant in your area that has house-made corn tortillas.

re: rockycat
We found fresh corn tortillas (no flour) this morning (among many other excellent products) at Mi Tienda market on E. Chatham, right across from Circus Burger. As I thought, from previous trips here, it is right next door to Korean Garden restaurant, to which we've been numerous times. Nice little farmers market in the adjacent parking lot as well. Those places, and Trader Joe's and we are set for our fiesta. Thanks everyone.

For our Cinco de Mayo party, I drove to Durham and got tortillas (corn only - didn't find fresh flour tortillas) at Miss Tortillas: look here for comments

Surprisingly, Google doesn't really turn up anything- the closest one I saw appears to be in Zebulon. Odd, because I know of tortillerias in Wilson, Greenville, and even Little Washington. It's really surprising to not find any listings for a much larger city like Raleigh/Cary.

I saw 2 tortillaria's on E. Chatam St. when I was driving through last week . One is directly across the street from the Circus Burger. The other is in the U shaped strip mall next door.

re: Tom from Raleigh
Thanks-originally, that's the place I was thinking of-the Mexican grocery on E. Chatham, from previous visits. Think it's near a Korean restaurant we've been to. If there wasn't an actual tortillaria around, that would be my next best default location; figure they'd be fresher there than going to a regular grocery store. When we arrived yesterday, there were two Mexican men working at my brother-in-law's house. We asked them, and they knew places, but they lived in Hillsborough, a little far to go. Thanks!
