New Restaurants in Cambridge/Somerville Area?

bgraves Jun 11, 2009 06:55 AM

We're looking to try something new tomorrow night in the Cambridge/Somerville area. Anyone heard of anything new opening up recently that's worth trying? Checked out Tupelo earlier in the week and was impressed (especially for the price!). Just looking for something we may have missed!

Just up the road in Arlington Center there is a new Turkish restaurant called Pasha. I haven't been yet, but have seen and heard some good reviews on the place.

Do you mean Basha, the Lebanese place?

Well I know that you know that I know, so I got that going for me, which is nice. The place is indeed called Basha (as opposed to Pasha in Arlington). And yes, it is Lebanese, though I think they also have some Armenian dishes.

Tory Row opened recently in Harvard Square. Haven't been yet, but I like Cambridge 1 (owned by the same group). Has gotten some up-and-down reviews here in the early going -- see http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/616788 and http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/609243 -- but could be worth checking out.

There is also a Vietnamese/Thai place that opened on Beacon St ~4 months ago (Pho n' Rice). I haven't been for dinner, but the lunch is pretty good (I've stuck to the Vietnamese side of the menu so far).
