Butcher Boy in North Andover
I had the best steak of my life from this store.
I am not kidding.
I have eaten steak at the finest restaurants in Boston: Capital Grille, Grill 23, Moo, Abe & Louis, Smith & Wollensky's...you get the picture. I went into this store for the first time last week. We bought a cowboy steak and a few strip steaks. We took them home, broiled them in the oven and they were absolutely fantastic.
Maybe it was the cooking method...we didn't happen to have the grill set up and were too hungry to wait, so we popped them under the broiler.
I am so happy I finally went to this store as I will be back. Their meat was perfectly trimmed and superb flavor and fantastic! Yum!

Yes, please change the heading to North Andover. The locals will be very sensitive to that slight. I like the Irish blood sausages (white and black) which aren't that easy to find in the area.

It's in North Andover. People in Andover and North Andover care about the difference :). I used to live in Andover, Butcher Boy is one of few food amenities I miss.
Tip: if you ever ask for a cut of meat for some number of people being served you will purchase way too much meat. I never got the impression that they were being disingenuous, just that they assume, as a good butcher would, that people eat massive amounts of meat.
