West Yarmouth area - suggestions please

Hi Folks,

We're heading to the Cape this weekend & will be in West Yarmouth. I'm looking for your suggestions on where to go for dinner. We prefer an establishment where we can sit outside, have excellent drinks, food and service. Looking forward to your suggestions.

All the best,
Sal

    Thanks everyone!
Well, we ended up at Molly's in WY for some local "flayva" & had some great Fish & Chips. Breakfast at Heavenlies (marginal).

That night we drove to Orleans for dinner at the Beacon Room - which was excellent. We both had the specials and they were superb. The place was nicely decorated and spotless, waitress unobtrusive and very efficient.

Hyannis looked like it was going to be a scene so we ran the other way.

Thanks everyone, have a nice summer down there, glad to have gone now before the throngs arrive. Happy Eating!

I cannot think of anywhere in W.Y I would suggest and with your parameters but the new Columbo's on Main St. has outdoor dining. I had a mixed experience there but others liked it fine.

Columbo's is a good choice for moderate Italian. For a more upscale experience with outdoor streetside seating is Alberto's, also on Main Street in nearby Hyannis. Those are your best choices by far.

Also heard today that The Eclectic Cafe has finally reopened in it's original courtyard location at the west end of Main Street in Hyannis. It's been a few years but it was always a nice food, drink, and service experience with al fresco dining in a candle lit brick courtyard. May be worth a try. Report back if you do!

Yes, would enjoy reading updates on E. Cafe. Years ago it was a frequent stop. I too have not been in recent years. We always greatly enjoyed our eats at E. Cafe.

New owner, new chef...same great outdoor dining area, though. My office is around the corner from the Eclectic so I do hope to check it out soon, and will report back!

We have So. Yarnouth residents visiting us and they also recommend Albertos. For a great breakfast, Joe's Diner on Rt 28 in So Yarmouth. We go there when we visit them. Try the hash. For decent affordable fare with fantastic sunset view. Cap'n Cass in Orleans.
