thinking about having a small affair catered by them? has anyone used them or any thoughts on the quality of their food?

Tried going to Taliercio's last week and there was a line out the door. Never seen anything like that - it must be good?!? - will try again.

Random Side Note: The sign above the store reads Gourmet Food, kinda nestled in the strip mall - not that obvious from Rt 35 South.

On Saturday you need to get there before noon or after two, or risk a long line. But if there is a line, Steve usually treats the line to fried raviolis, and sometimes wings or chicken fingers.

I used to have a client in Oakhurst, so for lunch I stopped by Nino's three times for a bite to eat. I tried three different items and was not impressed with their quality or cooking style. I remember having separately on each occasion, sausages....eggplant.....and fish. All three were fair at best and I also remember ordering as a side their Arancini and the rice balls being undercooked and greasy on two occasions. For me it was three strikes.

I do not know if it is close to you or even still in business, but I recall Taliercio's in Middletown being better.....but admittedly it's been more than two years and things could have changed dramatically for both in that time.

I have to agree with fourunder. I do believe that Taliercio's food is better. I've had all foods from both places and Nino's food was always a liitle too greasy.

Nino's subs are excellent, great bread, but I've never had their other food.

Taliercio's is very good. We've used them a number of times over the years and have always been happy. (But don't believe their heating instructions. It usually takes a little more than they recommend.) If you go with them, make sure you get an order of their Chicken Cordon Bleu balls. They're a relatively new appy for them. The problem is, though, once you have one, you won't want to share.

Did Take Out From Nino's today - Beach Picnic.
The people here are GREAT! Super kind and accomodating!
The nicest women and they have PASSION for their food - Just love that!

Break Stick - Their Italian Baquette Good
Made Eggplant Sandwiches with their Signature Eggplant dish - Very good - This was in oil and gravy - heavy yes, it would have been amazing converted into a tapenade but was not at home.
Italian Tuna Salad - Very Good
Tomato and Mozzarella Salad - Good
Foccacia with Green and Red Peppers - Garlic - Tomato - excellent dough, topping ok
Hand Pie filled with Broccoli Rabe - Onions - Pine Nuts and Olives - good

If I am in the area would return for some of that eggplant.
