Scarboro Golf Club

Thinking of holding my wedding reception there. Anyone tried their food or gone to a wedding there? How was the food, service?

My family are members there so I've eaten there more than a few times. I would say that the food is a cut above the average country club fare. Can't go wrong with the salmon or the prime rib. If you're booking for the summer, you should inquire about using the patio. Good Luck

I haven't eaten there - but have been in their kitchen, which is immaculate, and spoken with the chef de cuisine, who is lovely and very knowledgable. By all accounts (people that I know have eaten there) the food is excellent. They have a very good reputation and the membership pays very high fees to keep the quality of the facility 'world class', food included. I would definitely talk to them and sample some of their fare.

I curl (and eat supper) there all winter and go to the occasional special event (New Year's, e.g.). The food certainly isn't 'world class', but it's reasonably good, and they do manage to feed large parties with a minimum of fuss. Service is good. It is a lovely building.

thanks for the responses! very helpful. It's strange they don't seem to have too many reviews on forums and such.
